UNC-Wilmington - Pathways to Excellence

Pathways to Excellence is a partnership program between the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) and Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute (CCC&TI). The goal of the program is to support transfer students on their journey to UNCW. Students participating in the program who complete a transferable Associate degree (Associate of Arts or Associate of Science) with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA will receive guaranteed transfer admission to UNCW.

Benefits of entering the Pathways to Excellence program include:

Guaranteed admission to the University after completing a transferable Associate degree with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA
Assistance with completing the transfer application and an opportunity to have the application fee waived
Personalized attention and communication with Transfer Student Success Staff

Annual events to help you explore our community and life as a Seahawk
Waived* Foundations (I) and Approaches and Perspectives (II) University Studies requirements (with the exception of Lifetime Wellness, Foreign Language, and 3 credits from Living in Our Diverse Nation or Living in a Global Society requirements)

* This benefit only applies to students completing an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science.

To begin your journey on the Pathways to Excellence, submit your letter of intent form to UNCW Transfer Admissions. Pathways to Excellence students must also submit a transfer admission application for their desired semester by the priority deadline for that term. UNCW does not admit by major, and acceptance to specific majors may require an additional application after university admission.
