Jacob Bebber drove in seven runs off three hits to lead Caldwell to an 18-1 victory in five innings over Montreat College JV in game one of Monday's doubleheader at historic Walker Stadium in Lenoir.

Bebber drove in a run on a sacrifice fly in the second inning, two runs via a single in the third inning, and a grand slam in the fourth inning. Officially Bebber was 3-for-3 in game one.

The Cobras hit four home runs on the day. Bo Davidson joined Bebber in hitting a grand slam with his coming in the third inning. Hayden Setzer went deep in the first inning and Breon Ishmael went yard in the fourth inning.

The Cobras also got doubles from Setzer, Steven Smith, and Isaiah Kirby. Setzer had a triple, missing only a single from hitting for the cycle.

Caldwell used a pitch-by-committee approach on the mound, with Luke Maicon getting the start and was credited with the win. In his two innings of work, he struck out seven. Smith and Ben Elkins also logged work on the mound; Smith allowed only one hit while striking out three and Elkins allowed one run off one hit while striking out two.

Dallas Allen had the only hit for the Cavaliers, a single in the fifth inning. Allen would score on a ground ball later in the inning.

Caldwell scored six runs in the second inning on its way to an 11-1 victory over Montreat College JV in game two of a doubleheader Monday evening at historic Walker Stadium in Lenoir.

With the game scoreless heading into the bottom of the second inning, Drew park plated the Cobras' first run with a single to left field. Drew Brink followed with an RBI single, and Bo Davidson got a two RBI single to push the advantage to 4-0 with no outs. Steven Smith then got an RBI single and while JT Facteau recorded a sacrifice fly RBI to give Caldwell a 6-0 lead.

Caldwell added an RBI on a triple by Drew Park in the third inning. After surrendering a run the top of the fourth inning, the Cobras answered with a solo homerun by Steven Smith the bottom of the inning to make the score 8-1.

The game was called via the mercy rule when Caldwell scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, all coming via wild pitches.

Hayden Setzer got the start on the mound for the Cobras and was credited with the victory. In his two innings of work, he allowed one hit while striking out four. Zach Bohn and Bradley Jordan entered the game via the bull pen to close out the game.

Davidson, Park, and Smith all finished with two RBI each.
