OBD Emission Control Inspection

This 8-hour course is designed to prepare auto technicians and service personnel to become OBD emission inspectors for motor vehicles. Course topics include regulations and test inspection procedures required by the NC DMV - Enforcement Selection - for OBD emission inspectors. Upon completion, a student should have knowledge of the rules, regulations and procedures for OBD emission inspections, is able to inspect a vehicle properly and is prepared to sit for the state certification exam.

Cost

In accordance with the North Carolina Community College System, tuition for this occupational extension continuing education course is $72.

Licensure

Licensure: Authorization granted to CCC&TI to provide instruction within another state does not imply or provide guarantees of any kind that an individual will be granted professional licensure by another state as a result of completing coursework at CCC&TI or receiving professional licensure in North Carolina. It is the sole responsibility of the individual/student to determine whether another college or license-awarding agency in another state will accept CCC&TI coursework and/or award licensure through a reciprocity agreement with the State of North Carolina.
