Adult High School Diploma (AHSD)

Adult High School Diploma (AHSD)

What is AHSD?

AHSD (Adult High School Diploma) allows students to earn their High School Credential by completing the credits required for earning a diploma in Caldwell or Watauga County. Classes are in an online format and can be completed on campus in the classroom or remotely.

Why should I choose AHSD?

AHSD is for students who would like to complete their high school credits and receive an adult high school diploma.

Who is eligible?

AHSD is designed for students who have completed at least 16 high school credits, as evidenced on an official high school transcript prior to enrolling. Students must be 16 years old or older. Minor students (16 and 17 year of age) will need to have a completed minor permission form. Students must test at a 9th grade reading level or higher.

When and where are classes offered?

The class schedule changes due to demand, but classes are generally available on-campus mornings and evenings. For a current class schedule, please call 828.726.2230 Caldwell or Watauga 828.297.8120.

How do I enroll?

AHS students pick up an enrollment packet from the Transitional Studies/Adult Education Department on the Caldwell campus and the Student Services Center on the Watauga Campus. Students will take a reading and math assessment and then meet with an advisor. For questions, please call Caldwell 828.726.2230 or Watauga 828.297.8120.

Please note: CCC&TI's campuses are located in Western North Carolina.
