Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology curriculum provides training in the use of the equipment and materials of the auto body mechanic trade. The student learns the construction of the automobile body and techniques of auto body repairing, rebuilding and refinishing.
Graduates of the curriculum should qualify for entry- level positions in the automotive body and refinishing industry. Graduates may find employment with franchised independent garages or they may become self-employed.

The DOL's Occupational Outlook Handbook states,"Employment of automotive body and glass repairers is projected to grow 9 percent from 2014 to 2024, faster than the average for all occupations. Job opportunities should be very good for job seekers with industry certification and formal training in automotive body and glass repair. " (Visited 2016).
