Career Assistance For Everyone (CAFÉ)

What is the CAFÉ program?

The CAFÉ program offers students with learning, intellectual, or developmental differences assistance to overcome barriers to employment.

Why should I Choose CAFÉ?

The CAFÉ program offers adults over 18 the opportunity to gain the education and skills needed to successfully enter the workforce. The program coordinates with local employers and other agencies in the community to offer hands-on training in several different career options as well as life skills. Upon successful completion of the two-year program, students will receive a certificate of completion, a professional resume, a letter of recommendation, and job search assistance.

Who is eligible?

Adults who have learning, intellectual, or developmental differences and the desire to enter the workforce are eligible.

When and where are classes offered?

The class schedule changes due to demand, but classes are generally available mornings and evenings, on-campus and at off-campus locations. For a current class schedule, please call 828.726.2230.

How do I enroll?

All CAFÉ students must pick up an enrollment packet and take a reading and math assessment before meeting with an advisor to plan their two year program. For questions, please call 828.726.2230 (Caldwell) or 828.297.8120 (Watauga).
