Foundation of CCC&TI Announces Fund Drive Chairs

The Foundation of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute has announced that the Honorable Robert Brady and Sheila Triplett-Brady will lead the 2018 Annual Fund Drive campaign.

Robert and Sheila Brady

The couple, both having taught and attended classes at CCC&TI, eagerly accepted the invitation to co-chair the campaign due to their love for lifelong learning and the vital role the college serves in the community.

“We are humbled and excited to be the 2018 co-chairs of the annual campaign,” Sheila Triplett-Brady said. “It’s going to be fun – challenging, but rewarding. There are two major game-changers in a community: the church and the school. What an honor to support our outstanding school by being part of the Foundation team. We are confident that we will exceed our goal.”

Sheila Triplett-Brady is a graduate of Mars Hill and also attended Western Carolina. She taught for 16 years at Asheville High School before returning to her family’s furniture business. She also worked as a freelance writer and editor for several national magazines. Today, she serves as executive director of the Broyhill Family Foundation and personal assistant to Paul Broyhill. She also serves on the Board of Tomorrow’s America Foundation.

The Honorable Robert Brady currently serves on the CCC&TI Board of Trustees and retired in 2014 after 24 years as a District Court Judge, including 12 years as Chief District Court Judge for the 25th Judicial District. He is a graduate of Wake Forest and practiced law for 16 years in Caldwell County prior to become a judge. He also serves on numerous boards and committees in the community.

The 2018 Foundation of CCC&TI Annual Fund Drive campaign will kick off for the community on March 6. At the event, the Bradys will be introduced as the campaign chairs and the fund-raising goal for this year will be announced. Last year, the Foundation raised more than $365,000.
