Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute is a coeducational college open to any individual 18 years of age or older. Persons under 18 years of age may be admitted if already a high school graduate or if they possess a GED or high school equivalent.

High School students may be admitted under concurrent (dual) enrollment, Huskins Bill provisions, and intellectually gifted and mature student provisions established by the State of North Carolina.
