Accreditation

The OMA program is approved by the Committee on Accreditation for Ophthalmic Medical Personnel (COA-OMP).  COA-OMP is sponsored by the following collaborating organizations:  Association of Technical Personnel in Ophthalmology (ATPO)  www.atpo.com and Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).

Upon Earning their diploma, graduates may become nationally certified by passing the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant exam (COA) administered by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).
