This two-part course educates and prepares the student to satisfactorily perform venipuncture and capillary collection in a health care facility. Topics covered in the course curriculum include all aspects of blood drawing, handling and transfer, in addition to other laboratory procedures, equipment and maintenance, record keeping, and interpersonal communication skills.
