A+/PC Repair
A+/PC Repair The Intro to PC Repair is an 18-hour course
covers basic electronics, computer design, hardware and associated software. At
the end of the course, the student will take the computer down to the component
level and rebuild back to a working unit. The student will also learn formatting
a hard drive to upgrading RAM. Hands-on experience needed for the real world
will be provided.
The A+ Certification Prep class is 2 classes 64 hours each. This training prepares the
student for the A+ certification examination through Comptia. The exam is proof
of competency in CPU, monitor, printers, basic networks, DOS and Windows9x and
Windows 2000. Students will be able to troubleshoot and repair PC problems. Most
technical PC jobs require or request the A+ to ensure that the employee has the
training and knowledge to perform these tasks.
Prerequisites: Windows/DOS basic knowledge.
Mechanical ability helpful.
