Focused Industrial Training (FIT)

Focused Industrial Training (FIT) is a special program offered through Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute for our communities' existing manufacturers, FIT uses individualized needs assessments and consultation to design and implement targeted, customized training for incumbent workers whose jobs are changing because of technological or process advances.

FIT Focuses on:

• Incumbent employees
• Critical skills required or changed by new technology or processes
• Skilled and semi-skilled employees in production, maintenance, and management
• Courses in many topics including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, project management, statistical process control, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, preventive maintenance, and trouble shooting. We partner with an array of world-class training providers to offer these and other training services throughout our community.

The FIT program counts geographic proximity as a strength. Training is developed jointly by the community college and the participating industry. This ensures that the program hits the mark; that it addresses real training needs and people are better equipped to do their jobs.

We know that in training one size does not fit all. That's why our programs work so well for so many people. Each one is tailor-made and we will be glad to craft one for your company.
