Becoming an Ambassador

During spring semester each year, faculty and staff submit confidential names of curriculum students whom they wish to nominate for the Ambassador Program. Nominees must exhibit the following attributes of a quality leader:
  • dedication to learning with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • characteristics of self-confidence and goal orientation
  • service as an excellent role model and mentor for other students
  • positive representation on campus and at community events
  • willingness to devote time to assist others at CCC&TI and in the community
A listing of nominees is then sent to Faculty Senate members, curriculum vice-presidents and their department chairpersons, and to the Vice-Presidents of Instruction and Student Services for comments and support or reservation. Nominees on the finalized listing are invited to a spring reception to determine acceptance into membership for the next scholastic year.
