Did you know that high school students can earn college credit at CCC&TI…for free?

If you’re a high school junior or senior in Caldwell or Watauga county, have a 3.0 GPA or higher and have earned a qualifying score on a college placement test, then you could start earning free college credit TODAY with the Career and College Promise program at CCC&TI!

**To confirm your eligibility, you can talk to your high school’s CCC&TI Transition Advisor or call 828.726.2705 and talk to Dennis Seagle, Director of Enrollment Management at CCC&TI. You can also email your questions to dseaglejr@cccti.edu.

Once you’ve confirmed that you are eligible for Career and College Promise here are the steps for enrollment:
  1. Pick your pathway based on your interests and strengths. Students have a variety of options in two categories: College Transfer and Technical. For detailed information on the pathways, click the College Transfer or Technical Pathways tab above.
  2. Complete and submit the Career and College Promise (CCP) application.
  3. Contact your high school’s CCC&TI Transition Advisor, who can walk you through the remaining steps of the process.
Those outside of Caldwell or Watauga counties, or those who are home school students, may contact Dennis Seagle, Jr., Director of Enrollment Management at 828-726-2705, dseaglejr@cccti.edu for advising.

High school students taking college credit courses under Career and College Promise provisions are exempt from applicable tuition for certain classes. Expenses for books, supplies and activity fees are the responsibility of the student.
