Angela Kirk, Assistant Web Master

"“It used to be that a high school diploma was enough, but the way the job market is now, you need some kind of degree. I want a better life for my family and me. Not going to college is not an option for my children.

Angela Kirk, a native of Granite Falls, enrolled at CCC&TI after being laid off Angela Kirkfrom a  local furniture factory. Prior to that, Angela was employed as a substitute teacher and  also at a hosiery mill while marrying and starting a family. The mother of three took  the leap by returning to school after 19 years, completing her associate’s degree in  Information Systems at CCC&TI.

She is now hard at work on her bachelor’s degree online through
East Carolina University, in addition to teaching part-time at CCC&TI and assisting  the college webmaster. While attending CCC&TI, Angela was active in the Phi Theta  Kappa Honor Society, the Business Club and as a college Ambassador. The first in  her family to attend college, Angela is a firm believer in the value of education. Now  both her daughters attend CCC&TI –one in Caldwell Early College High School; the  other, in the radiography program.
