Disability Services Available
For the orthopedically impaired, entrance to and movement within buildings can be accomplished with ease through use of ramps, elevators, and electronic door openers. Reserved parking is available near the main ramp and in other designated handicapped parking spaces across campus.
Other student conveniences, such as a chair-height card catalog in the library, specially marked directions for the seeing-impaired in the elevators, wheelchair desks in the classrooms, a telephone in the student lounge, and several drinking fountains in the halls, are provided. Restrooms are available in "B", "E", "F", and "G"Buildings.
For those with other impairments, the college makes available special educational aids, such as:
- Tutors
- Sign language interpreters
- Note takers
- Scribes
- Readers
- Testing accommodations
- Priority registration
- Adaptive technology
- Distraction-free testing site
- Counseling and referral regarding specific disability related personal, educational and career concerns
- Tape recorders
- Brailled and taped text
- Others as determined on a case-by-case basis.
