Cooperative Education    Earn While You Learn

Cooperative Education (Co-op) is an educational program designed to enhance the student's academic knowledge, personal development, and professional preparation. Co-op integrates the traditional academic function of the college with related work-based learning in industry, business, and community. The teaching faculty, career counselors, coordinators, and employing supervisors share in the educational process of the co-op student. Students blend classroom theories into practice as they spend one or more semesters in a company or organization related to their area of study or career goals. Co-op provides students a professional environment in which to gain valuable work-based experience in their chosen career field. Students attend classes concurrently with local part-time or full-time work assignments.
