Fitness Classes for All Ability Levels!

 

Hudson Campus...

Yoga  -  PED 122-101    M/W   10-10:50am

Learn and practice fitness-geared yoga postures and incorporate mindful relaxation routines.

Nature Hiking  -  PED 171-300C    Friday afternoons   *Begins in March; call for details*

Four guided local group hikes while learning about fitness preparation, injury prevention, map reading, and Leave No Trace principles. Practice conducting 3 personal hikes in our beautiful local area.

Weight Training  -  PED 117/118    M/W/F   9-9:50am

Learn and practice using machines and free weight to strengthen and tone muscles, design workouts, and prevent injury.

Fit & Well for Life  -  PED 110    T/TH   9:30-10:45am

Touches upon various wellness dimensions with a focus on physical fitness components such as cardio & muscular endurance, flexibility, and nutrition. Practice individual and group critical thinking to analyze current health issues.

Backpacking  -  PED 170-300C    *Begins in March   ; call for meeting dates/details*

Includes one 3-hour group day hike, one overnight Sat/Sun group trip, and a few hour-long classroom sessions to prepare for and present your reflections about the experiences.

Basketball I & II  -  PED 145

Introduces and refines essential skills for enjoying playing basketball. Addresses fitness preparation, injury prevention, and drills for improving techniques.

Watauga Campus…

Snowskiing - PED 181 and Snowboarding - PED 212    Thursdays   5-10pm

Enjoy instruction and practice time on the slopes of App Ski Mtn. Includes 6 instructional sessions & lift tickets. Extra fees apply; call for details.
