The Caldwell Cobras softball team split a doubleheader against the Gaston College Rhinos on Tuesday in Lenoir, winning game one 12-6 before falling in game two 8-0.
In the first game, Ashley Antonio led the Cobras, going 4-4 at the plate with two homeruns, a double, and four RBI.
Isabelle Curry picked up the win in the circle, striking out ten. She also collected two RBI at the plate.
In addition to Antonio's two homeruns, Caldwell also got homeruns from Christa Walsh and Regan Winkler.

In game two, Gaston scored four runs in the top half of the first inning and pitcher Brantleigh Parrot held Caldwell to only two hits while stiking out nine. Asheton Queen went 2-4 with a triple, homerun, and two RBI for the Rhinos.
Kenley Jackson and Sydney Ferguson collected the two hits for the Cobras.
