Trailing 2-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, Garrison Buress got the Cobras offense going with a two RBI single to tie the game at 2-2. Later in the same inning, Caldwell would take their first lead on a RBI sacrifice fly by Dalton Stikeleather, making the score 3-2 in favor of the Cobras. After Camp answered for two runs in the top of the fifth to reclaim the lead at 4-3, Caldwell retook the lead for good in the bottom half of the inning. Breon Ishmael's RBI single tied the game and Isaiah Kirby's two RBI single staked the Cobras to a 6-4 lead.

After allowing two runs in the top of the first inning. Caldwell scored five runs in the bottom half of the opening frame and never trailed again, going on to win 19-8 via the mercy rule. After Jacob Bebber got an RBI single to put Caldwell on the board, Garrison Buress followed with a three RBI homerun making the score 4-2. Derek Farley's single plated Caldwell's fifth run of the inning.
