Game Notes: Brunswick opened the game with a 7-0 run before Caldwell got a three-pointer from Shawn Nelson with 15:22 left in the first half for Caldwell's first basketball of the game. Caldwell got their first lead at 10-9 with 13:10 left in the 1st half. Caldwell would extend the lead to 41-26 at the half, led by RJ Black's 8 first half points. Brunswick Josiah Shackleford had 10 of his total 21 points in the 1st half.
In the second half, Caldwell's Caleb Mauldin would score 13 of his 19 points, including three, 3-point baskets. Caldwell's largest lead came at 91-56 with 4:04 left to go in the game.
The loss, a rematch of the 2021 Region 10 Division 1 Tournament Championship, was Brunswick's first loss in division play this season. The two teams are scheduled to play again on February 19 at Brunswick.
