Caldwell led most of the first half before USC-Salkehatchie took a 40-38 lead with 2:25 to go before the break. They extended the lead to 51-44 at the half. In the second half, the Cobras took a 69-66 lead with 13:38 to go before the Indians answered with a 7-0 run to reclaim the lead with 11:42 to go. The Cobras tied the game at 94 with 19 seconds to go when Kameron Cooke hit both free throws after an Indian foul. USC-Salk's Vince Cole hit a 3-pointer with 3.0 seconds to go to hand the Cobras their first loss of the season
