The men’s basketball team continued their red-hot start on Wednesday night dismantling cross town rival, CVCC, 104-71.
The Cobras jumped out to an early 27-7 lead and would go into the intermission with a demanding 64-23 lead. Caldwell was led by sharp shooter, Alex Lineberger, who knocked down six three-point baskets and finished with a game high 22 points. Freshman point guard, Demitri Dixon, had a strong performance adding 14 points. Jalen Barr and Jalen Crowder both had another solid outing adding 12 points each. The Catawba Valley Red Hawks were led by Zach De La Cruz and Charles Bryson who had 16 points and 12 points respectively.
The win improved the Cobras record to 3-0 as they go back on the road this weekend to play in the Roger Taylor Classic at Louisburg College. On Friday they will face Fayetteville Tech at 4:00PM, and on Saturday they will play Louisburg College at 4:00PM.
