Students from the Culinary Arts program at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute in Hudson spent Thursday preparing a meal for residents of the Shelter Home of Caldwell County. The group menu is a traditional Christmas meal, including turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole and green bean casserole. Volunteer students and Culinary Arts Director Keith Andreasen will return to campus Christmas Day to finish preparing the meal, which will be delivered to the Shelter along with gifts provided by CCC&TI's Cosmetology faculty. It's the second consecutive Christmas that the group has prepared a meal for shelter residents.
