The Associate of Fine Arts Music program will host its first Fall 2017 Performing Artist Concert at 1 p.m. on Sept. 18 in Room B-100 on the Caldwell Campus. The free concert is open to the public (as seating allows) and will feature Chris Rosser and River Guerguerian, two-thirds of "world music supergroup," Free Planet Radio. Since 2001, Free Planet Radio has been bringing its exciting and innovative world-jazz-classical music blend to both concert stages and classrooms. Based in Asheville, this musical partnership began with a clear mission statement as "the shared vision of three multi-instrumentalists exploring the infinite and seamless relationships between musical cultures through the universal language of sound."
The Culinary Arts program on the Watauga Campus will host a chilled seafood lunch buffet on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The buffet is dine-in or carry out. Cost for the buffet luncheon is $15. Following is the menu:
