In their third meeting in 17 days, Davidson County Community College outran Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute for a 101-86 victory in the NJCAA Division III District VII Championship game.
After leading for most of the first half, CCC&TI fell behind 48-47 at the break and Davidson dominated in the second half. Led by Rodderic Ross' 31 points, the Cobras as a team struggled from 3-point range going 4 for 27. Davidson was led by Tre Williams, who had 25 points and 8 assists.
As District VII champs, Davidson will now head to the NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament in Loch Sheldrake, N.Y.
