After entering a keyterm in BOOK SEARCH, (accessed at http://books.google.com) the researcher may find:

  • books with full-text;
  • brief snippets as to a book's contents;
  • if not provided in full-text, a listing of libraries where the book may be borrowed;
  • "Buy the Book" links to online bookstores;

All genres of books are listed in a search results page:

  • fiction
  • non-fiction
  • reference
  • scholarly
  • textbooks
  • children's books
  • scientific
  • medical
  • professional
  • educational

Soon, as Google's digital projects are completed, the researcher will be able to find out-of-print, rare and public domain books.
