The North Carolina Career Readiness Certificate is a portable, nationally recognized credential that verifies that an individual has the foundation skills necessary to be successful entering employment or a training program. Based on ACT's proven WorkKeys system, the CRC gives job seekers proof of their workplace skills.

WorkKeys, a system of real world workplace assessments, can act both as a tool to increase an individual's employability skills and give employers the tools necessary to plan, screen, select, train and promote the appropriate candidates. The Assessment

WorkKeys is the centerpiece of the National Career Readiness System. This exciting initiative is based on WorkKeys skills levels in Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics, and Locating Information.
