Using Express Registration

Express Registration is the fastest way to sign up for classes. If you've seen your advisor, and have a pre-registration form filled out from your advisement session, then this is the way to go. If you've misplaced that form, you also can find the class schedule to find the three-letter prefix, the three-digit course number and the three-digit section number that you will need to complete online registration.

Getting Started

To access the Express Registration:

Login into COBRAS, if you haven't already.
Click the WebAdvisor tab at the top of the page.
In the Registration menu on the left side of the page, click the Express Registration option.

To register using Express Registration:

For demonstration purposes, let's say you're registering for CJC 100, section 101.

Skip the Synonym field. This information isn't neccessary for registration.
Select a course subject from the drop down menu. Using our example you would drop down to CJC-Criminal Justice.
Type the course number for that subject, which in our example would be 100.
Type the section number for the class, which in this case would be 101.
Select the term for which you want to register.
Repeat Steps 1-5 for any additional classes you want to take.
When you are finished, click Submit.
WebAdvisor presents a confirmation page, listing your class schedule. Make sure you print this page. To do this:
- Click once on the area of the page where the schedule appears.
- Choose File > Print from the menu bar in your Web browser or click the Print icon. For specific instructions on printing your schedule, please consult our print help here.
- Important note: If WebAdvisors tells you it could not register you for one or more of your courses because you lack a prerequisite or because a hold was placed on your record, contact your advisor as soon as possible. If you are not able to reach your advisor, contact the system administrator.
You're done with registration!
