What is T.O.P.S Education

Transitional Opportunities for Post-secondary Education (TOPS), is a department in the Student Services division of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute. This department was developed as the result of a cooperative arrangement between the community college and the public schools of Caldwell and Watauga counties in an effort to accomplish three goals:

Goals

• Encourage the pursuit of education beyond high school
• Promote increased academic rigor within the public high schools by encouraging students to participate in Huskins and Dual Enrollment courses
• Assist with the drop-out recovery efforts by promoting completion of the Adult High School Diploma or attainment of a GED
