Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute offers the following opportunities for high school age students.
  • Career and College Promise

  • Early College High School
    • A collaborative effort between the Caldwell County Schools and Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute opens the doors of a new high school. The freshman class will concentrate in leadership, entrepreneurial skills and academic achievement that will culminate in a high school diploma and college Associate's Degree at the completion of a five-year commitment.

  • Career Center Middle College High School
    • The Career Center Middle College is a high school created with smaller learning community principles at the heart of its design. It is a secondary school that challenges students to step up to rigor, connect theory to application, and prepare for postsecondary credentials that lead to 21st century careers.

  • Watauga Innovation Academy
    • The Watauga Innovation Academy (WIA) is a high school housed within Watauga High School that gives students from any grade level the opportunity to earn college and high school credit at the same time. The WIA has partnered with Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute to bring Watauga county students this rewarding dual credit program. Students who apply and are eligible for the WIA will follow a focused pathway with a Four Year, Five Year, or Six Year Plan that produces a high school diploma and a college certificate/degree. Upon graduation, successful students can then transfer their credits to a community college or university to complete a further degree in a shorter amount of time.
