Named to the all-conference team as a sophomore, junior and senior at North Gaston High School. He was the team’s MVP during junior and senior seasons and most improved as a sophomore. He scored 1,132 points overall while averaging 24.3 points per game, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Octavius was also an all-tournament selection for three straight years. He plans to finish a two-year degree at Caldwell and then continue his basketball career at a division I school while studying to become a nurse
