Distance Learning Orientation Information

Thank you for registering for a distance or hybrid course!  These courses give you greater flexibility with your schedule and allow you to earn part of your college degree from home, but it is especially important to get off to a good start.  Therefore, please pay careful attention to the orientation information below.  We hope you have a great semester.

Internet, Telenet, Hybrid Students (sections numbers in the 620s, 640s, 680s, 780s):
An online orientation is required.   Step through the Distance Learning Online Orientation link that is found on the login page of Blackboard (http://cccti.blackboard.com) or on the CCC&TI website (www.cccti.edu) under Services for Students.  The next step is to log on to Blackboard and access your Distance Learning courses and complete a 5 question quiz.  You must make a 100 on the quiz before the rest of your course is activated and for completion of the orientation.  The quiz will cover information about the Online Orientation and you will have unlimited attempts to make a 100 on the quiz. 

You must complete the online orientation even if you have done so in a previous semester. Students will be withdrawn from their DL course if the orientation is not completed.  If you have multiple courses you must complete the orientation quiz for EACH COURSE. 

Your Distance Learning courses will become avaliable on the start date listed in the schedule.  See below for orientation information for each course start date.  Orientation must be completed by 11:59pm on the last day of availability.

Telenet (sections 640 and 641) course students will also need to check out a set of DVDs during one of the following dates/times.  You must present a copy of your schedule to the Librarian to confirm enrollment in a Telenet course.
