Continuing Education and Workforce Development Division of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute seeks to provide accessible, quality educational instruction in Occupational Extension courses to individuals who seek to enhance their employment skills and to offer a variety of Community Service and Self-Supporting courses to individuals and the community for personal enrichment.

Workforce Development

Ed2GO - Online Courses

Continuing Education and Workforce Development currently has 200+ Ed2Go online courses available ranging from computer application to personal enrichment. Courses begin each month. Registration is required one week prior to the beginning of the course. For details and complete course listing, visit Ed2GO.

Three Registration Options

Register in Person

  • For the Caldwell Campus, go to Student Services located on the first floor of the John Forlines Building (F Building) located at 2855 Hickory Boulevard, Hudson, NC
  • For the Watauga Campus, go to Student Services located in Building W460 at 460 Community College Drive, Boone, NC

Registration General Information

Registration fees may vary for courses in Continuing Education and Workforce Development and are subject to change pending legislative and state board action. Students who take an occupational extension course more than twice within a five-year period (unless required for certification, recertification or licensure) are required to pay full cost of the course.

Continuing Education and Workforce Development Refund Policy

All occupational and community services classes receive a FULL refund (registration fee only) if the student officially withdraws from the course prior to the first class meeting. A 75% refund of registration fees only will be given if the student officially withdraws from the course on or prior to the 10% point of the course. There is NO refund for self-supporting courses. Please allow six weeks for processing of refunds.

Admission

Admission to courses in the CCE department is open to individuals 18 years of age or older. Individuals less than 18 years old who are high school graduates or whose high school class has graduated may enroll also. High school students between the age 16 - 18, may be permitted under the procedures outlined in the college catalog.

  • Monday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Thursday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Watauga Campus

  • Monday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Thursday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Accident and Malpractice Insurances

All CCC&TI students may purchase school-time accident insurance through the college. Students may obtain a brochure form Student Services or the Business Office outlining the cost and coverage. An application form may be obtained from the Business Office.

Special malpractice insurance is required for certain continuing education courses such as: massage therapy, phlebotomy, nurse aide, EMT, paramedic, etc. This fee is not refundable.
