Groupwise Support and Information

About Groupwise
Novell Groupwise allows us to
- send e-mail internally and externally
- keep personal calendars
- manage address books
- share calendars with others in the organization
- create and manage task lists
- create and send appointments to other Groupwise users
- and much more
You can access your Groupwise account (including e-mail, calendars, tasks, etc.) from your office computer or you can access it from home or at while your away at a conference on any computer with an Internet connection and a Web browser.

Who gets Groupwise
All full-time and part-time employees currently get Groupwise accounts. To request an account for a new employee, please complete a ticket through our Online Help Desk.
New hires and terminations
- Supervisors are responsible for notifying CIS of new hires who need Groupwise access 2 weeks prior to the employee's start date. If CIS is not notified via the Online Help Desk prior to the employee's start date, the employee may not get Groupwise access until after the employee's first pay period.
- Supervisors are responsible for notifying CIS of any employee termination so that user's Groupwise account can be disabled on his or her final date of employment. This is an important part of our network security policy. Failure to comply with this policy is a violation of CCC&TI's Computer Usage Policy. Groupwise accounts also may be terminated if the employee is not included on payroll for a period of 5 consecutive months.
