Program Description

The Biotechnology curriculum is designed to prepare individuals for employment in pharmaceutical manufacturing and related industries. Major emphasis is placed on manufacturing processes and quality assurance procedures.

Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute’s (CCC&TI) Biotechnology program offers a comprehensive curriculum in bioprocessing that includes hands-on learning in a state-of-the- art cleanroom and lab. Our biopharmaceutical cleanrooms have the technology to facilitate simulated drug development and contract manufacturing, and we have leading experts to train not only students CCC&TI but also employees in the biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical and other life science field. Hands-on training including tablet- and capsule-making technologies, tablet film coating machines, and injectable filling systems; and access to some of the region’s foremost experts in pharmaceutical training and manufacturing. This program is supported by an active advisory board comprised of leading regional life-science companies.
