When do I need to make an appointment for academic advising services?

• Scheduled appointments are not required for academic advising but are highly recommended. Please call 828-726-2746 to schedule your appointment
• A scheduled appointment is required for all transition advisement for high school and GED students. Please call 828-759-4674 to schedule your appointment

When do I need to contact the Academic Advising Center (ACC)?

College transfer students can contact the AAC any time for assistance with:

• Academic advisement
• Directions to support services
• Transition Advisement

How do I register?

New and Returning College Transfer Students

• Set up an appointment with the AAC
• Plan your schedule with an advisor
• Register classes with an advisor

Currently Enrolled College Transfer Students

• Set up an appointment with the AAC
• Plan your schedule with an advisor
• Register classes with an advisor or with Student Services personnel or by registering on-line

Students unable to make appointments will need to register during regular registration.

What do I need to do if I need to drop/add classes the first two days of the semester?

College transfer students will need to go to the Academic Advising Center for assistance. Hours will be posted each semester.

Is my personal information protected?

All appointments are strictly confidential. No academic or personal information is shared about a student without written consent from the student.
